When a theory about parallel universes causes a struggling actor, Joe, to be anxious about his decisions and future, we watch the different outcomes of the same conversation about the multiverse between him and his girlfriend, in different universes, and the way this one conversation results in vastly different futures for the two characters in these parallel universes.
